Analog Circuit Lab Kit is to provide an exposure to a fascinating world of analog system design. Analog System design is one where a designer (engineer) uses analog building blocks (ICs) such as Op-Amps, Multipliers, DAC, ADC, timers, clocks and builds an electronic system (application) that performs a specific task. The focus of a system designer is to optimize the cost & power consumption and to increase the efficiency of the system.

The ACLK Kit emphasizes on building Analog Systems using a three-step approach:

  • Design using Pencil & Paper
  • Verify using Simulator and Macromodel
  • Build your system using ACLK kit and verify the results

Features:

  • Four JFET General Purpose Dual operational amplifiers(TL082)
  • Three wide bandwidth precision analog multipliers(MPY634)
  • Two 12-bit parallel input multiplying digital-to-analog converters(DAC7821)
  • Arrays of resistors & capacitors along with potentiometers.
  • A breadboard for the general purpose prototyping to carry out student mini-projects.
  • The power supply is internally connected to all the ICs (except DAC) to provide ±9V to ensure proper functioning.
  • The DACs require 5V externally for operation

Experiments:

  • Negative feedback amplifiers in both inverting and non inverting configuration
  • Instrumentation amplifiers
  • Regenerative feedback (Schmitt Trigger) systems
  • Monostable and Astable Multivibrators
  • Multiplier as DSB generator, AM generator and as Synchronous detector.
  • Integrators and differentiators
  • Butterworth, Chebyshev and Elliptic Filters
  • Voltage Controlled Oscillator / FM or FSK Generator
  • Function generators
  • Phase Locked Loop/ FM or FSK detection (Modem)
  • Automatic gain control (AGC/AVC)
  • DC-DC converter & SMPS
  • Low Drop Out (LDO) regulator
  • Frequency synthesizer
  • Class-D power amplifier
  • Butterworth, Chebyshev and Elliptic Filters
